DAE Lecture Series

The student-led Lecture Series Committee (LSC) is a group of current Bachelor and Master students at DAE. They programme their own series of speakers and co-run the whole Lecture Series (LS) programme along with the LS Programme Manager and Producer.

The committee invites students to share their dream line-up of speakers each academic year via an open submissions system that includes public sign-up sheets posted around the Academy building as well as an open call for suggestions via email. The LSC then creates a shortlist of speakers. Their aim is to identify inspiring speakers from a diverse range of backgrounds and disciplines, to invite new perspectives into the Academy and to create a platform for the sharing of different types of knowledge.

Once the shortlist is confirmed, the committee is responsible for securing the speakers, and works with the LS Programme Manager, Producer and the DAE Communications, Relations and Events department to arrange and publicise the talks.
