Lorenzo Malloni is an undisciplined architect and artist with an excitement for what is radically different. His research focuses on what he calls the “syntropic” phenomena of modularity in construction, an approach where group action and cooperation between the parts is favoured over that of individual entities. Every “syntropic” work is both an assemblage of equal structural parts and a participatory practice by multiple individuals willing to invest and share their ideas and skills, escaping the mythologies of authorship.
