Code of Conduct

The DAE Code of Conduct is a document that outlines what behaviour is considered permissible and inadmissible within the DAE environment. It applies to students, tutors, employees, as well as visitors, collaborators and suppliers. The Code of Conduct is signed by all new community members upon joining DAE.

Design Academy Eindhoven is committed to fostering a safe work and learning environment for everyone within the institution. The Code of Conduct is a document in continuous development to reflect the changing needs and concerns of our community members.

If you think something is missing, or needs to be clarified or improved, please contact the Executive Board at ExecutiveBoard@designacademy.nl. They are open to feedback on all elements of the code and enthusiastically welcome any and all ideas in ensuring the safest possible experience for all members of the DAE community.

This code is drafted with internal community member and reviewed by the external consultancy of Governance & Integrity International. It was adopted by the Executive Board and formalised by the Institutional Participation Council on 31 August 2021.

OTHER REGULATIONS

THE C.O.C. WEBSITE

Designed for the ease of access and the purpose to constantly evolve, the C.O.C. website makes simply the the process of interacting with one another within the institution.

Intended to function like a handbook, community members can easily navigate the website through the chapters listed on the left, and/or the common keywords on the right. Pathways to reporting undesirable behaviours are also detailed and are always visible on the page, highlighted in yellow. Further definition of certain words are also provided. If you feel something could use further clarification, please feel comfortable to contact the editorial team at .

BEING TOGETHER

Being together are two simple yet tremendously complex words. What does it mean to share a space together? What are the necessary negotiations and how does one care? The editorial team caught up with the Executive Board and some students at DAE to find out their perspectives and what the DAE Code of Conduct means to them. Find out more in the video below, produced by Marica De Michele (MA 2019).
