Tribute to Cleaning

Even though cleaning takes so much time and effort in our lives, we rarely get any recognition for it. It’s a never-ending process, so why do we try so hard to hide it? Cleaners work outside office hours, we store cleaning tools out of sight, and we clean the house before guests arrive. ‘Tribute to Cleaning’ is a spatial installation showing Barbora Středová’s appreciation of the daily efforts behind cleaning. Through a collection of testimonials from cleaning professionals and individuals, she recognises the importance of cleaning in our lives. “It is my way of honouring all the cleaners who are giving their care, time and efforts into making sure that everyone around feels good,” Barbora says.
