Graduation project
Holtland
Annelien Gispen
‘Holtland’ is an educational board game designed to make people aware of the ways forests develop and the importance of nature and biodiversity. In this game the players compete to grow the largest, oldest and most biodiverse forest. In each of the three phases of the game, players need to collect a certain number of tree cards to be able to plant a tree or increase its age. Chance cards may provide a player with additional rare plants or instead bring about a natural disaster that kills trees on the board. The player with the most and oldest trees on the board wins the game.
