Soothing

Andrew Grincell

Daily sound pollution from noisy surroundings and personal audio can damage hearing unknowingly. ‘Soothing’ is a modular device that increases awareness of the impact of sound, while helping you to control it. It displays your sound intake on your phone, and serves as a remote control to adjust the volume. You can lower the level completely, filter out disturbing background noise or intensify important elements, such as the voice of the person you are talking to. Soothing lives up to its name by restoring comfort and tranquility: it clarifies what you want hear and relieves you of the things you don’t.
