Opening Academic Year 2022 - 2023

On Tuesday 30 August we celebrate the Opening of the Academic Year 2022/2023. After a restful summer break, we come together once again to celebrate this event in the company of fellow students and staff. The opening includes a warm welcome to current and especially new DAE students who take their first steps into our building and begin to form part of our community for the first time. Registration is mandatory and please be mindful that this is an internal event and therefore, no external guests such as friends or relatives are allowed.

Welcome by Executive Board. Introduction to the various new initiatives, programs and personnel changes in the upcoming academic year, including new Bachelor Studio Leaders and the new Head of Information Design, new Diversity Officer and Professor in Design & Social Justice, Bachelor Program renewal. This welcome is followed by a series of announcements and presentations by members of the Executive Board, Joseph Grima, Creative Director and Raf De Keninck, Director Education, Research and Organisation.
