Design Academy Eindhoven and CHV Academy hold Design Talent Class for young creatives

Saturday 25 June 2022 is the date for the launch of the second annual Design Talent Class for creative young people aged 14-17 years from the Municipality of Meierijstad. The programme is organized by Design Academy Eindhoven, CHV Academy and Circle of Talent. Registration for the kick-off is now open.

Talent Class

Offer young people an opportunity to develop their skills in the area of arts, crafts and design, and bring them into contact with arts and design professionals. Those are the goals of the design programme launched last year. Supervised by professional artists and designers from DAE and CHV Academy, among them Pierre Cops, Kiki van Eijk and Floris Hovers, the programme features lessons and masterclasses to help young people to develop their skills in the fields of arts, crafts and design. Participants can attend 11 inspiring workshops during the school year, which take place on Saturdays from 09:30 to 12:30 at the CHV Academy on Noorderkade in Veghel.

Kick-Off and admission

The admission for the Design Talent Class kicks off at the CHV Academy on Saturday 25 June 2022. The event, headed by designer Kiki van Eijk (CHV Academy ambassador), consists of an informative introduction, a workshop and a motivational talk. The findings of the kick-off will determine whether participants are admitted to the class. Prospective participants can register for the kick-off by sending an email with their name, date of birth, address, phone number and a short motivation to info@chvacademy.nl. Participation in the class is free of charge.

CHV Academy, Circle of Talent

In the Municipality of Meierijstad, a number of partners from the fields of art education, business world and the municipality are contributing to the Circle of Talent. By means of structural education provided by professionals from the arts, children and teenagers can discover and develop their skills through a broad range of arts programmes for primary and secondary education in the form of talent classes that prepare a pathway towards third-level education in a creative discipline.

In this way, children and teenagers can explore a professional career as an artist, theatre maker, musician or dancer, equipping them with skills and experience

that will be invaluable to them throughout their adult lives. After already launching a successful Dance Talent Class and Music Talent Class, CHV Academy is now partnering with Design Academy Eindhoven for the Arts, Crafts and Design Talent Class.
