Trans Realities Lab Open Event 2024

For the second year, the Trans Realities Lab opened it’s doors to students, alumni, staff, fellow academics and industry partners, showcasing current research activities and the end term projects of Professor Biscoe’s Digital Focus Module. The module explores themes of Hybridity, Performativity and Interactivity, so a wide range of approaches to the use of digital technologies were demonstrated by the 24 students who had interned in the lab for the previous 6 months. Current developments in the EU Creative Europe supported Hybrid Lab programme were demonstrated.
Showcases of recent projects developed within the lab, included the Trans Realties Manufacturing Company from the Eindhoven Glow Festival, and the performance Transcending Space Time Realities which premiered at De Doelen, Rotterdam in December 23. Earlier in the day, Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Netherlands paid a visit to the TRL, discussing current research projects and viewing some of the student’s work that had been created in the lab.
