Research Innovation and Advancement (RIA)

To approach the broad design workfield, different perspectives are needed. These perspectives are retrieved through knowledge exchange and cooperation with different parties. Collaborations take place with both internal and external parties at regional, national and international level. We are constantly looking for new collaborations through which we create connections with society and other disciplines. In this way, we ensure that we blaze new trails in research and education.

At DAE, we engage with external collaborators through three different initiatives: Friends & Partners, Funding and International Partners.

FRIENDS & PARTNERS

Design Academy Eindhoven is constantly looking for ways to broaden its network, making the experience of studying at DAE richer for students and creating opportunities for our alumni. We work actively with national and international companies and organisations, including governments, cultural organisations, NGOs, public organisations, educational institutions and research institutes, as well as private companies.

FUNDING

Ensuring quality in education and research requires time and money. Our research projects in the past have been funded by among others Marie Curie ITN, NWO/SIA, NWO/TTW, Creative Europe, and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (VIS). This support encourages the development of DAE as an institute, in both teaching and research.

INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS

DAE sees itself as an international institution, based in the Netherlands. To sustain this, it is important that we maintain and expand our connections with collaborators and colleagues from all over the world. This helps us provide international internships, student exchanges and international projects, but also helps us keep our horizons broad and make space for different perspectives.
