To Fail/To Succeed
Alizée Gavory
An oracle card game that helps students reflect on personal definitions of success and failure.
We face the prospect of failing every time we start a new creative project. Our careers often have fixed definitions of success, but we rarely examine what failure actually means. Alizée Gavory created an oracle card game to help students manage anxiety and reflect on personal definitions of success and failure. Ask the deck a question about your projects, dreams, fears or potential career path and draw five cards. The game contains symbols, texts and questions ranging from critical to sassy in tone. They help you work through creative blocks, analyse the context you create in or start a vulnerable conversation with your friends. A booklet with articles, resources and stories from graduating students help you navigate your journey as a designer.
