Exploring the future of living with Werkwarenhuis
Collaborative exhibition created through partnership between students from DAE's Morning Studio and Werkwarenhuis in Den Bosch
In January 2023, BA students from The Morning Studio staged "Tomorrow?! Voices of Future Living" at Werkwarenhuis. The exhibition included workshops, interactive installations and projects ranging from soft homes to modular living.
The work on show was the result of an invitation from Werkwarenhuis – a creative and cultural hub led by designers and hosted inside a former factory.
Over five months, BA students from the Morning Studio explored alternative ways of living through the eyes of our ancestors, activists and dreamers of today.
"This collaboration with The Morning Studio students is valuable for both parties," explained Petra Janssen, co-founder of Werkwarenhuis and design agency Studio Boot. "Students face an assignment in a different environment and in a real assignment situation that represents the need for time. This allows the Werkwarenhuis to give a voice of young designers to policymakers for a necessary change in our society. Study in Practice."
