Stream of Mine, Valley of Yours
The human body contains and resonates with natural elements. There are diverse landscapes within us. Reacting to the current sick-care system based around hospitals and medicine, Sun Yichun proposes a series of holistic healthcare practices supported by nature and the mind. Five nature locations in Taiwan have been selected for the development of guided meditative activities and tools. Each space is associated with an element, an organ, a sense, an emotion and movement. Inspired by the Five-Elements theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the tools generate autonomous actions. Together, they offer experiences that promote a holistic view of the body and an alternative way of interacting with the landscape.
