Online platforms seem to be the perfect place to anonymously blurt out whatever is on your mind; many do so without a second thought. To visualise the huge pile of crap that is left on the internet every day, Tom Jacobs built an installation from waste material that does the same in an analogue setting. The cogs and wheels are in constant motion, reacting to each other at their own pace, unstoppably rattling their protest. The bold ‘Shite Talker’ can be easily accessed by phone. Just text or call to get anything off your chest. Your complaints will be announced loud and clear, somewhere out there – but to whom? Don’t worry, they won’t be traced back to you.
