From Ash
Thomas Missé
Despite a global consensus on renewable energy, coal is still our main source of electricity, and will remain so for decades to come. Thomas Missé found a new way to recycle the polluting waste that come from burning coal. A factory close to the power plant could re-use the fly and bottom ash, water vapour, heat and electricity, to create a geopolymer on site. This can be turned into polymer modules, providing a sustainable building material for the area. The waste and surplus of the coal plant would account for eighty per cent of the required elements; only twenty per cent needs to be added.
