Mountain Creek Melody

Tano Lops

A trickle of water can carve deep valleys in mountains over time, creating pathways for rivers to flow. Crafted from stones handpicked from the Nant Brun river in the French Alps, these sculptures show the power and patience of water, as well as its poetic relationship to the earth. Pour water atop a sculpture's surface and watch as it flows along existing paths, meticulously carved by nature. As water droplets flow down from one stone to the next in the stack, they pass through a square piece of glass. Perfectly moulded to fit both stones, the delicate glass facilitates the dialogue between fluidity and solidity. In our fast-paced world, 'Mountain creek melody' invites you to slow down, encouraging contemplation amidst the rush of daily life.
