Atlas of Tarot

"Solveig Weimar and Antonia Schreiber developed Atlas of Tarot updating the traditional tool for gaining insight into the past, present and future, with the aim to reclaim the inherently human power of personal agency. With this project, the designers present a vision of a unified and peaceful relationship between Earth and its inhabitants, offering an alternative to traditionalist patriarchal and human-centred worldviews. With the aim of making Tarot more accessible to a broader audience, the project is understood as a tool for reflection, where users explore personal empowerment and illuminate their internal topics. Atlas of Tarot presents as an oil painting showing the cosmos of human and non-human actors, which is animated by an interactive light mapping and a book with explanations of the cards and their symbolisms.
