Graduation project
Primordial Matter
Quinda Verheul
Quinda Verheul’s project is a visualisation of the cycle of water: starting as ice covering the mountain tops it melts, flows downstream into rivers, which end in a delta with a multitude of tiny streams, which run into the mighty ocean that covers the surface. From here the water evaporates and is held in the atmosphere until it is ready to start the cycle all over again. The continuity of it and the way the natural element is uniquely capable of transforming a landscape are awe-inspiring in real life, but captured here in an intricately carved, working piece of art.
