Echoes
Quentin Pechon
“I’m very passionate about music,” says Quentin Pechon. To add a dimension to his passion, he has worked on a new way of visualising sound. Not with the traditional software programming, but by ‘hacking’ the hardware with an oscilloscope, translating the electric signal into light. His light orchestra gives a vibrant performance: the neon lamps blink on the drums, the piano plays with the light bulbs and the bass, guitar and keyboards each have their own television screen. “What you see comes closest to what the soundwave does,” says Quentin. ‘Echoes’ makes the soundtracks resonate in a light show that’s true to the rhythm.
