If I had a Tail

As a child, Onno Dijkhuis fantasised about having robotic limbs. This fascination with the interaction between humans and technology only grew over time. Through extensive experimentation with the interaction between body and electronics, Onno developed a robotic tail. This tail functions as an extension of the wearer’s body and is controlled with hand movements. Rather than solving a specific issue, ‘If I had a Tail’ encourages an experimental attitude to what it would mean to enhance our bodies with technology. Perhaps we could use our tails to dance, point a disoriented tourist in the right direction or pour ourselves a beer. If you could add an extension to your body, what would you choose?
