Seeder [DEFAI_1.0.3]
Ofer Kantor
"People’s freedoms are being undermined, it’s time for uncomfortable, disobedient, rebellious design."
WHAT
This frisbee is part of a manifesto: ‘Design for Freedom in the Age of Information’ (DeFAI). It is a form of activism as education, and education as activism. When thrown, a variety of seeds shoot from three holes along the edges of the disc.
WHY
Ofer Kantor’s guerrilla gardening tool is the first translation of his manifesto against syndication. A playful yet critical tool for environmental action, ‘Seeder’ protests the formation of an agricultural oligopoly.
HOW
This iteration of the manifesto teaches people about a global loss of diversification, while diversifying locally. Hands-on hacktivism like this occupies a grey area in the law, making it an opensource and reusable weapon in a fight for peaceful anarchy.
