Despite the relentless efforts of craftswomen, the fine art of lace-making is fading. Mia Tamme believes that updates are what keep traditions alive. She studied local Estonian handcraft and created a procedure to remake lace in and for the virtual space. While these delicate textiles might be a provocation for lacing purists, are they perhaps the only way to keep the craft alive?
