What I Find
Mathis Hadji
A design book featuring small bits and pieces found in urban areas shows how what one can see as trash can be seen as a treasure by others.
"The urban ground is filled with treasures
Gemstones shining on the rock
Forgotten but so precious
Colourful but so transparent
It used to be a part
But now it’s on the side
Give it space in your heart
And look at what I find
Mathis Hadji sees the beauty in small plastic bits and pieces that he finds outdoors. By changing the context from the dirt on the streets to a design book, he sheds a new light on these pieces of waste. Documenting these seemingly insignificant items as precious treasures reframes the designer’s role from creator of things to creator of perspective."
