The spaces in the urban landscape that lie in-between, that are generally overlooked and undefined, where non-humans stake out their final frontier, in this project become the starting points to imagine alternative ways of dwelling in the city. After investigating how representations of the urban landscape influence and limit the way humans interact with it, Martina Eddone developed a series of representations that invite inhabitants of her Eindhoven neighbourhood to explore the bushes and green areas where usually only dogs and maybe kids go. Design is used as a tool to provoke and facilitate unusual behaviour, both to question what is normal and encourage less anthropocentric perspectives.
