Ephemeral Spaces

Personal space is the area around each one of us, contained by an invisible boundary, within which we are completely comfortable and beyond which, we are prone to discomfort, heightened senses, and overwhelming awareness of ourselves and the environment. Litty Salas’s project is an exploration of how intangible personal space affects the way we experience and interact with the city and its physical public spaces. Using a combination of film and performance, it encourages us to become conscious of what is at stake in a nonphysical sense when being physically present in the city.
