## “Do we now care more about the important things in life or is this just a long period of procrastination while we wait for things to get back to normal?”
Historically, in times of crisis, women have started quilting groups as a form of social activism. While chitchatting and discussing their situation they worked on quilts that reflected the global events in depictions of their everyday individual experiences. In response to the lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic, Lena Joutsemo set up a digital quilting group under the same pretext with six female friends in four different countries. She asked them to depict what they have been up to during the lockdown. These contributions, combined with articles, tweets and posts found on social media, form a digital layer over a photo of a physical quilt that documents what happens to people when a global pandemic puts our everyday life on hold.
