## “People aren’t binary. They have changing feelings and opinions. My project aims to make this visible.”

In political and other discussions our votes are often translated into statistics. Your vote becomes a number that doesn’t reflect the feelings or opinions behind it. People have feelings and opinions. They like different things, at different times, under different conditions. The interactive installation ‘Klankbord’ (Soundboard) invites people in public places to share their thoughts and opinions about a statement of the day. By placing a physical weight on a revolving table, they experience how their opinion shifts the balance. The collected data is meanwhile translated into a graphic depiction that gives a more qualitative insight than the pure numbers do.
