Fuck yeah, I'm videoing it
"Images no longer simply reflect embodied experiences; now the camera/screen apparatus stands between us and the surrounding world. The camera has become an extension of our hands and eyes. A new human instinct developed 一the urge to pull out the camera whenever something attention-worthy is happening. The world is now portrayed by shaky footage from billions of handheld cameras. Everything is seeable, but nothing is looked at.
This hour-long film is composed of around 100 found internet video clips that are edited according to the changing relationship between the cameraperson and the subject. Through this lens, the film explores whether we record things simply because they happen or if they happen precisely because we record them."
