Graduation project
by, for, with women _ conversations on pleasure
Johanna Denecke
Intimate conversations on live radio and in small group sessions, invite to collectively rethink the concept of female pleasure.
Patriarchal norms shape the perception of female sexual pleasure, often considering it shameful and inferior to male pleasure. This bias persists in society and individually through internalized misogyny. Simultaneously, sex-positive feminist discourse can impose pressure on women to be confident in their sexuality, when instead they may be uncertain. Conversations on pleasure bridge these extremes, creating a safe space for vulnerable, insecure, and unsure perspectives on pleasure. Through intimate conversations on live radio and in small group sessions, women, individuals with vulvae, and those socialized as women collectively reconstruct a more unbiased understanding of pleasure. This process fosters connection, mutual recognition, reassurance, and inspiration.
