Light Passage
Jasper Luijten
We use blinds to block or filter daylight from our interiors. The available systems are highly functional, but low on allure. ‘Light Passage’, by Jasper Luijten, explores how to create a visible dialogue with the incoming light. In this series of blinds, he developed graphic patterns that he cut into the surface, transforming each piece from a blank filter into a playful canvas of optical effects. They are brought to life with the shifting of the light, as shadows come and go in an atmospheric interplay that is always changing.
