Forest Archive

Hannah Segerkrantz

## “This digital interface may help people rediscover their intuitive connection with nature.”

Throughout human evolution we have slowly separated ourselves from nature, and instead of coexisting, we are now dominating and exploiting it. Because many people have lost the sensorial experience of nature, Hannah Segerkrantz searched for a way to re-interpret our connection with it. ‘Forest Archive’ is a digital environment for sharing personal connections and stories about forests. All forests in the archive are represented by local forest ambassadors, who take the viewer on audio-visual walks through their forests while discussing the meaning and importance of nature in their lives. These ambassadors are the human link to the viewer’s experiences, providing very personal examples of finding more harmony with nature. [https://forestarchive.earth](https://forestarchive.earth)
