012Protocole

Eric Grenand

Built around a myth derived from interviews with chefs in Thailand, 012protocol is a working methodology. An essential element of Thai culture, the myth is a means to highlight illegal street food within the country’s culinary traditions. The protocol is supported by an open-source website, an evolving tool to list different chef profiles. The goal is a scenario embodied by a case containing the three essentials (knife, cutting board, light), all in aluminium, which is the archetype of the streetfood that Eric Grenand uses as his communication tool. He wants to dissociate the subculture of illegality in Thai street food from Thai street food culture in order to highlight it and give it its singularity through the Ramakien myth.
