## “My aim is to bridge the communication gap between human and devices.”

Despite their importance in our daily lives, we try and banish the electronics in our homes from sight. Especially routers. With little understanding of how they work, we feel no connection with these unimaginative black plastic boxes. Yet such devices can become a proud part of our interior, as Elsa Sier shows with ‘Wired’. The ribbed textile casing is tactile and friendly, bringing the router’s functions to life with movement and colour. When your phone is connected or when the signal is weak the device expands to reveal a bright shade inside the knit. What was once a hidden necessity becomes a dynamic feature.
