Liminal Bodies
Elsa Molinard
## “In this ever-faster world, ritualised moments of connection can bring us back to the here and now.”
These two water vessels evoke contemplation. Placed in our homes, they encourage us to find inner clarity. The objects are round, curved, extending an invitation to reach out and touch or hold them. One is mineral black stoneware, deep and dark; the other is green glass, translucent and bright. Both contain water in a liminal state of transformation from liquid to vapour. When you pour hot water into the stoneware amphora, it becomes a warm body to hug for relaxation. The translucent glass vessel purifies water in a circular process: from water to vapour and back to pearly drops again. Watching or feeling these earthly containers can become a ritual that naturally eases the senses and mind.
