Age of Care

What are the limits of our own human knowledge and understanding? How are these shaped by the hierarchical divisions of the world around us? Seeking to find ways of acknowledging the unknown truths of non-human intelligence, Eliška Janečková took a nonlinear research approach based on six different themes that act as different entry points to a complete narrative. Each of these six strands of information is told through a sculptural object, taking on organic forms that feel as though they are alive. Moreover, the knowledge represented in each sculpture can be seen in a new light through AR technology, revealing additional layers of information and acting as a means of communication between ourselves and living matter.
