International Court of Justice Suit
The International Court of Justice, located in the Peace Palace in The Hague, is the principal legal organ of the United Nations. Yet not many people know of its existence. To boost its reputation Daeun Lim comes up with a PR strategy that surpasses any language barrier. Instead of using words, she designed a robe to get the message across. The ‘International Court of Justice Suit’ reflects the identity of the court and its values. The shape and colour refer to justice. The Halcyon birds on the collars, sleeves, buttons and cufflinks represent peace. The handshake clasp at the front symbolizes a treaty. And the separate tails at the back that can be united by strengthening the ties, stress the need for ‘amicitia’ or friendship.
