The World That Is And The World That Could Be

Clémence Faure

The fashion industry discards millions of garments every year. While the enormous amount of dumped textiles clog landfills in the Global South, it remains largely invisible to us. ‘The world that is and the world that could be’ is a collaborative platform for textile and clothes producers, policymakers, consumers and entrepreneurs to brainstorm this global problem starting on a city scale. Professionals can access data, city plans and a special toolbox to find new ways of dealing with our waste. T-shirts are displayed of which the design features data on our fashion waste flows that serve as a conversation starter on the consumer level. In this way, Clémence Faure encourages a practical approach to fashion waste challenges and aims to inspire new business initiatives.
