"Instead of wearing fabric and seams, we’ll be wearing code."

WHAT A visual manifesto on the future of identity as augmented reality becomes embedded within everyday life, extending our perception and expression into the digital realm. WHY Augmented reality (AR) has already started to influence how we present our identity. As technology progresses, virtuality can create intangible layers around our body, determining the image we show in public, enabling digital fantasies to become a reality, and making the physically possible a secondary issue. HOW Clara Escalera explores how AR will shape identity expression by presenting it as a new step in fashion design, which includes colour-changing fur, anti-gravity shapes, and moving patterns. In her vision, clothes will be rendered rather than sewn.
