Loose Play
Capucine Diancourt
The experimental playground equipment in Capucine Diancourt’s ‘LOOSE PLAY’ range explores what such objects could be like if they were designed without the restrictions of safety regulations. Not only are the shapes different, they also have an immediate effect on playing itself. The objects, free-standing and balancing, evoke a different kind of behaviour than regular swing sets, seesaws or climbing frames. They trigger curiosity and demand cooperation between players. Their mobile nature means they can be placed in different environments and create exciting new places to meet and play together.
