Is time moving or is it me?
"Fascinated by photographic sequences and their potential to manipulate time and reality, Boye Leborg explores how the moving image can acquire material form.
In his installation he takes imagery apart and reassembles it to better understand how it is constructed. In the process, he both reveals the illusion and sustains it. The installation comprises a collection of cylinders of different dimensions, suspended at different heights from the ceiling, onto which series of photo stills are printed. The moving cylinders are then captured by a camera, turning the deconstructed images into film, once again. It is the resulting process of how we create meaning from what we see that Boye examines in this work. "
