Artefacts

In the deepest depths of the sea, where sunlight can’t reach, strangely shaped and flowing organisms glow mystical light. Inspired by this natural light phenomenon, Anna Oudhof created a collection of mysterious glowing alien creatures. They glow a warm and welcoming hue, bringing attention to their shape. Light shines through glass bubbles in their bumpy red skin made from old copper boilers. In the dark, they fade into the surrounding blackness, their light turning into a dreamlike blue. A show of mysterious and organic shadows, reflections and pulsating light is projected on the surrounding walls. An undiscovered alien presence is introduced into a world you thought you knew with 'Artefacts', an exploration of light, colour and reflection.
