Alter Ego

Anete Sabule

“Something so personal that only you can place your body in it”

What: A collection of accessories, to wear as a second skin, its shapes and prints inspired by personal mementos that create a sense of belonging. Why: Intrigued by the ever-changing human skin that separates the inner from the outer world, Anete Sabule plays with the concept of exposure versus protection. ‘Alter Ego’ was created as a new ‘in-between space’ to feel at home in. How: Starting point for the design was Anete’s personal collection of stones, each with its own story. Their shapes and colours inspired this flexible body armour, made of rubber, felt or leather. Wrap your body in their soft embrace and layer them to your liking, until you feel comfortable.
