As with many things that appear in abundance, trees are taken for granted. A physical tree is just a tree, but the manner of thinking of a tree also entails multiple stories, meanings and perspectives — from the Tree of Life to the apple tree in the Garden of Eden, from the Sequoias of the western Americas to the oak hearts of England, from a mango tree to gather a school around to the tree a kid might prefer to climb. The Green Glossary is a digital installation that uses real and invented words to explore ways of altering the concept of a tree into a mental space worth exploring.
