De Parade 2024 x DAE
For the third year in a row, De Parade collaborates with bachelor students of Design Academy Eindhoven. In February 2024, students and tutors from the bachelor studio Do Make designed a speculative/performative installation to be presented at the Festival.
As a group, studio Do Make have been given the opportunity to use design to create something for an uncommonly associated context. The directive is focused on the dinner. The students will create a #cornucopia, #exquisitcorpse performative installation utilising the dinner table as the context.
They will use glass as their primary material, but not exclude any others. Like we mapped out our spaces, how can we map out a dinner and then deconstruct it and make something new? What objects do we already interact with and how do they shape our behaviour? How do we interact with each other and how you like to accentuate or change this? How do we consume and what is consumed?
