LINA x DAE
Marina Otero, head of Master Social Design and project leader of our collaboration with LINA tells us how LINA does contribute to our goal to train students to be designers who can respond to contemporary ecological and social challenges.
“Being a member of LINA helps the Social Design Masters program to stay at the forefront of ecosocial design practices, while also connecting with a wider community of professionals working towards these same goals. As an innovative and forward-thinking program focused on social and environmental design, Design Academy Eindhoven’s Social Design would benefit greatly from the collaborative opportunities and exposure to emerging voices in architecture provided by LINA. Through the LINA Architecture Programme, Social Design Masters could participate in lectures, workshops, and mentorships in architecture, expanding their knowledge and skills in practices that consider another world – postpatriarchal, post-anthropocentric, ecological, plural – as possible. Additionally, LINA’s network of prominent cultural players and architectural organizations could provide opportunities for students to connect with like-minded professionals and gain international experience.”
The collaboration is filled for the next three years and in efforts is that we will be organising both public and private events, joining projects and collaborating with the members of the platform.
