Graduation Show 2023
The Graduation Show exhibits more than 200 Bachelor and Master graduates and their projects alongside a public programme.
The show will also present the Award Ceremony for the annual Gijs Bakker, René Smeets and Melkweg Awards. The nominees have been selected during the assessment of the Master and Bachelor graduation projects by a jury of experts who convened at Design Academy Eindhoven in June.
The winners will receive a sum of € 2,000 and a trophy designed by DAE alumnus Olga Flor in collaboration with EE Labels.
PUBLIC PROGRAMME & DIGITAL MANIFESTATION
As the presentation of the graduation projects unfolds in two places: on the ground floor and on the top floor of the Heuvel shopping centre, a unique opportunity is provided for visitors to navigate the immense diversity and scope of the graduates’ investigations and their different design contexts they may venture into. This approach is supported by a dynamic public programme that reflects the ever-growing mediums that our graduates use to communicate their aspirations and concerns as designers.
CINEMA
Presenting a compelling selection of films, performances, and installations by graduates in an immersive multimedia environment. Relax and engage your senses. Open daily to the general public.
WORKSHOPS
An active space featuring graduates whose projects encourage interaction and connection with each other and the planet. Join in on the spot or sign up for group experiences. Open daily to the general public.
BOOKSHOP
A cosy library showcasing theses, process books, visual journals, and other publications by graduates. Take a leisurely browse or engage in intimate reading. Open daily to Graduation Show visitors.
ACTIVATIONS
A programme of demonstrations, performances, games, and more, bringing the graduation projects to life throughout different exhibition spaces. Open daily to Graduation Show visitors.
ELEVATOR RADIO
A student-led initiative that broadcasts interviews, debates, music, and news about the graduation projects in the exhibition. Visit Elevator Radio’s station in the Lounge or tune in online.
GRADUATION SHOW TOURS 2023
The Guided Programme is a student-run initiative for guided tours of the Graduation Show of Design Academy Eindhoven, based upon individually curated tours, arranged, produced, and guided by graduating designers. The aim of this programme is to provide unique experiences of the Graduation Show and offer guests a personalised tour of work of Design Academy graduates.
