The Power of Curiosity and Interdisciplinary Collaboration with Stijn Roodnat
"I am pleased to invite you to my upcoming lecture, in which I will discuss my career and the development of Kaptein Roodnat Design Studio after graduating from DAE in 1999. Since 2001, I have been working as a Tutor at the academy, and since 2016, I have served as the BA studio leader in the public-private studio.
During my lecture, I will delve into the establishment of the Dutch design label Label/Breed and emphasise the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration with various fields. I will also highlight the power of curiosity and critically reevaluating established ideas in the design process.
Through my story, I hope to inspire and challenge you to further contemplate the evolution of design and its impact on our society.
I look forward to sharing my insights with you and engaging in fruitful discussions about the future of design."

About Stijn
Stijn Roodnat is a Dutch designer who graduated from Design Academy Eindhoven in 1999. He is currently a studio leader at the Academy and co-owner of Kaptein Roodnat and co-founder of Label/Breed. He fosters collaborations between designers and manufacturers to create innovative and sustainable objects. Stijn is renowned for his expertise in innovative design and sustainable materialisation, and he continues to challenge himself to grow and develop as a designer.
