Assistive Device

Soul Ahn

Three ergonomic computer mouses were designed in response to the challenges faced by individuals with disrupted mobility.

In response to the challenges faced by individuals with limited mobility, paralysis, or trembling hands when using digital devices, Soul Ahn has dedicated efforts to designing devices that provide assistance and control. Soul conducted extensive research to gain insights into the unique needs of the target users, leading to the development of three distinct models of an ergonomic assistive mouse. Two models are designed specifically for individuals with clawed hands, while the other caters to those with extreme hand tremors. Both models incorporate larger buttons, promoting intuitive and effortless clicking. The hand rest is meticulously optimized, prioritizing exceptional comfort tailored to each specific hand condition. Soul’s goal was to ensure the design’s effectiveness for the target group while maintaining ease of manufacturing to maximize its potential reach.
