The Mirror of Medea
"The installation revisits the myth of Medea, a figure embodying both the destructive and liberating power of anger, to explore modern struggles with its suppression, particularly among those raised as women.
The dressing table turned altar invites participants to confront their own reflection and anger, offering a space to reclaim it as a legitimate and necessary emotion. Drawing on extensive research into the harmful effects of anger suppression, the project emphasises its impact on mental health and personal agency. Through interactive storytelling and the meditative practice of eye-gazing, it challenges participants to reframe anger as essential for justice, self-affirmation, and self-care."
