Hack Ad Hoc
The permanent collections of museums are full of controversies and contradictions that never come to light for the average visitor, who instead perceives it as abstract and inaccessible. Silvia Angelucci has designed a role-playing card game that encourages museum visitors to become active users, able to experience and develop their own understanding of the dynamics behind museums. Players take different roles — such as activist, curator and art-washer — to perform specific missions — from uncovering the funding controversies to identifying the female artists or simply create a coherent collection. The game is custom developed for specific museums and can be played on site or at home.
